Free Digital Scrapbooking Kit for September

Have you seen this month’s Free Digital Scrapbooking Kit for ScrapWow Members? It’s “Too Cool” by Amy Teets, and it’s a fantastic kit! I can’t wait to scrap this year’s school photos! I’ve got to get busy making some ScrapNow Layouts from this, too. That’s going to be fun!

I need to talk about the new category over at the store - the ScrapWow Sequel section. It’s a killer concept - each month the Featured Designer creates the Free Monthly Kit for all Members to download, and then she uses that kit to create “ReadyMade” (Quick Pages, Brag Books, Overlays, Printables, etc) items for sale in the store. Well - It’s like having a professional designer do your pages for you! And you can use the Free Kit to coordinate with the Sequels! Plus, they are always available - and listed in the order they were presented. For example, Amy Teets items coordinating with the “Too Cool” kit are listed first, and then as you scroll down, you can see Designs By Shelle’s items coordinating with “Good Day Sunshine” and Jan Hosford’s “Summer Lovin” items. And for a fraction of the cost of having a private Designer create your layouts, you can have the Free Kit’s own Designer create your pages!! See what I mean - Killer Concept!

Free Digital Scrapbooking - The Six New Kits

playful.jpg

I just realized that I hadn’t written about the kit “Playful” by Kelly Shults. It’s a great kit, and I love the colors! This is one of the free kits Members receive immediately after joining ScrapWow. And for anyone who’s already a Member - you get it, too! It’s in the WOW Logo after you sign in! It has so many great “acrylic” embellishments - some are blank and you can add your own words to them. What a lot of fun.

So, if you’re looking for the Freebies after you join, remember that the six kits below are free to all Members, and are available right after joining.

Digital Scrapbooking - The Summer Super Sale Collection

I’ve received a few emails asking where to get “Cool Caribbean“. It is a beautiful kit! It is a part of a fantastic offer - all of the kits you see here - are only….. $7. Yep - $7! It’s worth a closer look - if you click any of the links while looking at the preview on the ScrapWow site, you’ll see the kits much larger - and there’s a lot in there to see! The details are beautiful - the papers and elements! So much fun to work with. All of these kits are perfect for any season - but they are especially nice for summer. So don’t let the heat get you - stay inside and scrap! No need to go out shopping for supplies - $7 will go a long way at ScrapWow!

Digital Scrapbooking Kits for Altered Art Projects

A while ago I posted about finishing a hatbox by creating the papers digitally. It’s a fun project, and a great way to personalize a gift box. It’s also one of the most viewed posts!

It was also fun to take a notebook, pen, and small wooden box and decorate them! I find it so much fun to create tangible projects, but created with the personal touch by digi crafting!

Well, my newest one is a simple gift bag and tag.

tygiftbag2.jpg

This started out as a plain blue gift bag, found at most craft or party stores. I wanted to decorate it with summer themed papers and elements. Taking the measurements of the bag, I wanted my paper to cover 7.5″ x 10″, so I set up my page for Letter Size Paper, and cropped the paper to that size. I’m using the beautiful kit “Cool Caribbean” by Designs by Shelle.

Once my paper was sized, I just added the elements, used ribbon for the frame, and put my sentiment on the scallop tag.

I just printed it out. Now, I knew it would be simple enough to just adhere the whole front to the bag, so I wanted to add a little something extra - something dimensional. So I printed another copy with the decorative tag and some of the background paper. Then, I just cut out the tag and adhered it to the background paper - wrong sides together. Thereby creating a two sided tag! I punched a hole, added my blue fiber and attached it to the bag handle!

I’ll just put my friend’s name on the back of that tag, and it is all ready to go!
