One Card - Two Ways

I was over checking out Barbara’s Blog, and saw that she has come a long way learning how to use digital scrapbooking kits!  She has a membership to ScrapWOW, too, so we get the same great kits to use.  This is her card front she is using for her Christmas cards.  She created it using the Holiday Card set from Designs By Shelle (they are currently available to members, just log in and download them!)  Only she used her creation as a card front for a 4″ x 6″ (A6) card.  I took one look at this card and said - I’m making a postcard!  It’s really simple.  Just print out your 4″ x 6″ creation (as a photo), and then, using standard white copier paper, print out the backside of the postcard.  This will be easier to write on, and will cover up the photo paper watermark.

                            {Click on the above picture - then right click and “save picture as”.  The address lines are visible and will print}

Just cut out the backside to fit your photo and glue together.  You’ll want to use a thorough and strong adhesive - tape runner, Xyron, or glue stick evenly spread and firmly attached.  (A little trick - glue the paper to the photo before cutting, and then just trim to size.)

If you want to create your own postcard address block - in your graphics software just bring up a 4″ x 6″ space and create.  If you wish, you are free to right click on the above postcard back and choose “copy” or “save picture as”.  Then, in your graphics software, just stretch to the full 4″ x 6″ and print (2 copies will fit on one 8.5″ x 11″ sheet).  Remember, you’ll want to use regular copier paper - not thick photo paper.  Now you have postcards made from 4″ x 6″ photos!  These are great for any occasion!
