Still Wondering About Those Free Digital Scrapbook Kits?
I have spoken with so many people who have digital cameras, or have uploaded the disks of photos from their developer - but then are afraid to try to scrapbook digitally. Either they’ve been informed that they must buy and learn PhotoShop or they just don’t think they know enough about the computer.
I’ve been using Print Shop for years (decades??), and it is a simple, user friendly graphics program. You can create gorgeous digital scrapbook pages in this program, and you can create them using only the software and it’s huge library OR you can use your great digi kits you downloaded from ScrapWOW. I created this layout from using the beautiful digi kit from Jen Reed - Reflections. I created every element of it in Print Shop. This tutorial and many others featuring common graphics programs will shortly be available on the ScrapWOW site.

If you’d like to learn more about creating digi pages using software you already have, please leave a comment below and tell us which programs you use for your clipart.

I just bought a few digital scrapbooking kits. I have PSP 7 but found it hard to use. (I feel silly saying that) I would love to find some step by step tuts , perhaps PSP Digital Scrapbooking for Dummies!
I enjoy your blog.
Thanks
Sharoon

Hi Sharon,
Thanks for writing in! Paint Shop Pro is another great program that can be used for digital scrapbooking. We are currently working our way through the current ones available, in order to give our friends alternatives to Photo Shop. We’ve started our compendium with the programs specifically designed for digi scrapping, but I’ll look into Paint Shop, and get it bumped up on our “to do” list.
In the meanwhile, there are tutorials and Yahoo groups on the web that might be just what you’re looking for.
Thanks again,
Jessica
