Our Exciting New Project
Have you ever wanted to look into making digital scrapbook pages - but didn’t want to deal with Photoshop or Photoshop Elements? Have you looked at the great Free Digital Kits from ScrapWOW and wondered how to use them? Well, we’ve started working on a new section of the Tutorial Section - all about the other programs you can use to create digital layouts using your digi kits. Of course, we’ll look at the scrapbook programs like Scrapbook Factory and Creating Keepsakes Scrapbook Designer, but did you know you can use Print Shop, DrawPlus, and Print Perfect? Right now we have 14 programs we are reviewing and writing tutorials for, using Screen Shots and detailed step by step instructions. We have plans to keep adding to this compendium, and make a complete listing of the most popular programs out there.
If you are wondering if any of the programs you already have will work - please email me (link is in the bio - upper right) or leave a comment below here, and I’ll respond. We’d love to know what you are using, and if you are happy with it. Maybe you’re wondering how to use a certain program, and there are sometimes a few tricks which don’t seem apparent. For instance, in some programs, you can’t set your page size to 12″ x 12″ unless you set your printer settings to that size - even if you have no intention of printing it out! I mean - why does the program care what printer you’re thinking of using??? Sometimes the two are tied together, so you have to override those settings.
And then, a little down the road, we’ll take another look at all of those programs, and see how to create digital altered art using those kits, and digi cards, and some great craft items. If you have the kits - it’s a great way to use them!
